Memorial Day Weekend 2017

We started off our Friday night with a date night to a local Mexican place for Margaritas!

Then we headed home and went to bed early because I had to wake up at 5:00am to get my long run in before we met one of our pastors from church to catch up then head to New Jersey to see Brian’s parents for the weekend.

After breakfast at one of our favorite places in the area, Nudy’s Cafe, we headed out to Central New Jersey to visit Brian’s parents for the night. We took Brian’s parents out to this art exhibit called Grounds for Scultpure. It was a park full of sculptures. Some life size, some of funny shaped pieces, and others that were larger than life!

They had a couple peacocks that roamed around the park as well.

Lola had a lot of fun playing with her Grammy and Grampy during our visit. She was one sleepy pup on the way home.

When we returned from his parent’s house we decided to try out this new restaurant that opened in King of Prussia called City Works. They had plenty of burger options for National Burger Day so we decided to try it.

And in honor of National Burger Day I wore my Run all the miles eat all the burgers shirt form Sarah Marie Design Studio.

We spent most of Monday sleeping/relaxing. We went to Starbucks to do some reading but we ended up sitting near a couple that I guess I would say was overly affectionate. They were pretty much making out on the couch and we just couldn’t handle it anymore so we left and went home.

The rest of the day we relaxed at home. We Redboxed the movie Hidden Figures, which as a great movie if you haven’t seen it yet I highly recommend it.

What did you do this Memorial Day weekend?
