This is week 12 of training for the Marine Corps Marathon.
This week called for:
- Monday: 5 miles
- Tuesday: 5 miles
- Wednesday: 5 miles
- Thursday: 8 miles
- Friday: rest
- Saturday: 18 miles (long run)
- Sunday: rest
Monday, September 12th
Still a little sore from the half marathon last weekend but got a solid 5 miles done on a cool morning (finally)!
Tuesday, September 13th
5 miles and was happy for cooler temps!
5 miles logged at Wilson Farm Park.
Thursday, September 15th
8 mile run on a cool morning. It was brisk and amazing. I enjoyed every ounce of this run even though I went slow.
Saturday, September 18th
Due to field hockey practice in the morning I decided to split my long run into two runs. 18 miles was on the docket for this weekend.
Woke up at 5:00am and put in 13.11 miles prior to field hockey practice.
5.02 miles to round out the day with a total of 18.13 miles.
My legs felt great and I had awesome splits compared to the earlier run!

Can’t believe next week is the peak week of marathon training! 20 mile long run, gotta get it done!
