2016: Week 39 Recap!

Here we are at week 14 of training for the Marine Corps Marathon.

Weekly Plan:

  • Monday: 5 miles
  • Tuesday: 8 miles
  • Wednesday: 5 miles
  • Thursday: 5 miles
  • Friday: rest day
  • Saturday: 20 miles (long run)
  • Sunday: rest day

Monday, September 26th

5 mile early morning run and strength training for my legs and abs.


Tuesday, September 27th 

8 miles on the Radnor Trail


Wednesday, September 28th

5 miles on the Valley Forge Park Loop


Thursday, September 29th

Happy National Coffee Day!

Pretty rainy day so I took my run to the treadmill. Blah. 

Friday, September 30th

Rest day.

Saturday, October 1st

Rest day because we thought it was going to pour rain all day and we didn’t want to get sick running 20 miles in the race just before race day. 

Sunday, October 2nd 

20 miles on the Schuylkill River Trail


That’s the end of peak week! Tapering from here on out.
